These are outpatient medical clinics in rural
underserved areas bringing medical care to the doorstep of the poor and
needy so they do not have to travel great distances for basic medical
care. Hope Medical Centers will provide basic medical care including
diagnosis, consultation by a doctor, immunization, perinatal care and
essential medications. These centers aim to focus mainly on preventative
health and education. Hope Medical Centers are individually sponsored by
a resident or expatriate of the village, who provide land and funds to
build the center. The sponsor also will fund the costs of running the
center for a period of 2-3 years until Hope Foundation helps to make
the center self-sustaining.
Current number of Hope Medical Centers: 8
Currently, more Hope Medical Centers are expected to open in different areas of Bangladesh.
